Potomac State College, a Division of West Virginia University located in Keyser, West Virginia, seeks qualified candidates committed to excellence in teaching and service at the undergraduate level in the following areas:
Computer Information Systems: Instructor or Assistant Professor, tenure track. A minimum of a master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required from a regionally accredited college or university. Teaching responsibilities include instruction in hardware, software applications, networking, database management, programming logic, operating systems and other computer information courses. Music: Instructor or Assistant Professor, tenure track. A minimum of a master’s degree in music is required from a regionally accredited college or university. Teaching responsibilities include introductory music courses, such as music history and music appreciation. The successful candidate will also work closely with undergraduate students and the community in creating and/or implementing integrative ensembles that will reflect the diverse musical environment of the College. Sociology: Instructor or Assistant Professor, tenure track. A minimum of a master’s degree in Sociology or Anthropology is required from a regionally accredited college or university. Teaching responsibilities include courses in sociology, anthropology and related disciplines. (Job 1530)
All positions are full-time, nine-month, with benefits, with a starting date of August 16, 2015. Previous teaching experience is required.

Non-Classified and Faculty- Equivalent Positions
-Potomac State College of West Virginia University is accepting applications for a 9-month, 37.5 hours/week position in the Student Health Center for a Nurse Practitioner. Position requires an interest in urgent care and continuity care of college population of 1800, with competence in diagnosis and treatment of common ambulatory problems and minor office procedures. Experience in college health and women’s health preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing services to Title X WV Family Planning Program, establishing medical diagnoses, prescribing medications for treatment, follow-up evaluation and making appropriate referrals. Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited program with license in WV as NP with prescriptive authority. Must have at least one year experience in the field. Founded in 1901, Potomac State College is a predominantly two year college offering seven Associate in Arts degree and eight Associate in Applied Science degrees. A Bachelor of Applied Science degree is also offered, with emphases in Business Management and Criminal Justice.
The campus includes classroom buildings, a library, an arts center, residence halls, operating farms, and athletic facilities supporting an inter-collegiate athletics program.
