University Police

Potomac State College of WVU is committed to providing as safe an environment as possible for the entire campus community. The University Police are responsible for law enforcement, security and public safety on campus.

The department's goals are to provide safety and security for people and property, to prevent and to respond to criminal activity and public safety hazards, and to respond to the unique safety concerns of a college campus.

The department enforces West Virginia laws and College rules and regulations, patrols campus property, handles traffic and parking matters, answers complaints, and conducts investigations stemming from complaints. We also provide crime prevention, victim assistance, and public safety information to students, faculty, staff, and college visitors, through formal presentations, news releases, brochures, publications, and individual services.
