All applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of English language proficiency.  Potomac State College uses the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) as the measure of English language proficiency.  A score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL, 173 on the computer-based TOEFL, or 500 on the paper-based TOEFL or 6.0 on the IELTS is the minimum requirement.
