PSC Golf gets 4th Commitment of the Year

Paul Anderson of Johannesburg, South Africa will be joining the Potomac Stat College golf team as one of 4 freshmen this upcoming season.  Paul will be added to a team that will be returning 5 players from the National tournament team and has four incoming freshman including Paul.  Paul will be making a huge change as he comes to the sates for the first time in his life.  With this he brings a solid golf game and one that will surly help the Catamounts in the upcoming season.  "Paul seems to have a ton of talent and is looking for a place to show what he can do, PSC looks like the right fit for him and a place where he can shine," said Coach Edwards.

Paul brings a solid resume of golf talent and has been the Captain of his golf team during his high school career.  He also has competed nationally by representing the South African Golf Foundation and the Randpark Golf Club (Paul's home club) in the National Scratch league.  Paul was also a member of the South African Junior Golf Foundation and carries a +1 handicap (1 stroke better than scratch).  As Coach Edwards said, "with Paul's golf game he is going to fit in well with not only our returning players, but the other freshman we have on the team.  He and all the team members will have to be pushing themselves to be one of our top 5.  I am in a great situation where Paul and everyone on our team are very accomplished golfers; I think it will be a great season."

Academically, Paul graduated from Allen Glen High School and during his time there were given several awards.  A few being a top twenty award for academics and was twice named the top student for Computer Science.  Paul will continue his academic career at PSC as a General Studies Major and looks to transfer into a Computer Science Program after his time is done at Potomac State.

Paul is the son of Joeseph Anderson and Beverley Osbourne.
