Potomac State finishes season with a string of victories

The Catamount golf team finished the spring regular season with three straight victories and head into the Region XX Championship on a streak of 15 straight victories.  Helping to lead the Catamounts and grabbing medalist honors were David Lang with a 68 posted at the Wisp golf club, Brian Affleck and Bryan Killeleagh with a pair of 78's at Beaver Creek, and finally Affleck again with a 73 at South Park Golf course.  The weeks three matches all ended in PSC wins and round out a season of NJCAA [lay where the Catamounts posted a 15-1 record.  Overall the Catamounts head into the Region XX championship with and 80-1 NJCAA mark and will look to claim the Region XX title for a third time in school history, but the first since the 2004 season.  A win at the Region tournament would qualify the team to compete at the NJCAA DII national tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona. 

The Catamounts will tee it up next at Beaver Creek Country Club on Monday the 5^th to start the Region XX tournament.  The 36-hole two day event will end on Tuesday the 6^th and will send a total of 10 golfers from across the region.  Other schools competing include CCAC North, Frederick Community College, Hagerstown Community College, Harford Community College, CCBC, and College of Southern Maryland.
