PSC Wins Home Match at Cumberland Country Club

The Potomac State College golf team improved to 34 wins and no losses on the year with a win at Cumberland Country Club on Tuesday.  Leading the way for the Catamounts was Brian Affleck with a 72.  This marks the 6 straight match in which the Catamounts have taken first place and top medalist honors.  Affleck took the medalist honors over Frostburg State Universityýs Sean Buenger who posted a solid 73 on the day.

The Catamounts dominated the event with a score of 300 while FSU came in second with a 321.  Westmoreland Community College was third with a 345.  Westmoreland was led by Mike Fedor with a 78 on the day.

The leader board was top heavy with PSC golfers as they secured 4 of the top 5 spots.  Rounding out the Catamount scoring was a pair of 75's from Brendan Dillon and Bryan Killeleagh, followed by a 78 form Matt Pellillo.

"We are improving every match," said Head Coach Aaron Edwards.  "They have several goals in mind and work hard daily to try to reach these goals.  Ultimately we want to end up at the National Tournament in May, but we still have a Conference and State title to tend to in the fall."
