GOLD RUSH returns April 25 as Potomac State Baseball hosts Monroe

GOLD RUSH at Potomac State

Keyser, WV- In conjunction with Potomac State College of WVU’s Weekend of Honors, Potomac State Baseball will be reviving an old tradition: GOLD RUSH.

Last seen in 2009, the GOLD RUSH returns to Golden Park on April 25th, when the Catamounts play host to Monroe College for a doubleheader starting at noon.

The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free commemorative "GOLD RUSH" T-shirt.

Every fan in attendance that day will also have the opportunity to win a 32” Ultra Slim RCA HDTV. 

Tickets are free and can be picked up near the first base dugout starting at 11:00 a.m. on game day.  Additional prizes, including Potomac State Baseball apparel, will be given away between innings of the first game of the twin bill.  A 50-50 drawing will also take place.

The winning ticket for the television will be drawn immediately following the conclusion of game one.

Throwing out the first pitch before game one will be former Catamount and Major League pitcher Mike Duvall.  Duvall will be honored later that night as he will be inducted into the Potomac State College Athletic Hall of Fame.  Former Potomac State Baseball alums Jerry Mahoney and Kevin Schnall will be inducted that night as well.

The 1995 NJCAA National Championship team will be honored between games in commemoration of the 20-year anniversary of the College’s only National Championship.

All local Little League Baseball players who attend wearing their jersey will get a free hot dog and soda courtesy of Potomac State College.

Potomac State Baseball will be looking at breaking the single game attendance record at Golden Park.
