Baseball: Catamounts swing past Mercyhurst NE 16-6

Keyser, WV- Potomac State College banged out a season-high 15 hits as they cruised to a 16-6 win over visiting Mercyhurst NE on Saturday afternoon at Golden Park.

Fraser Brown led the PSC attack with a home run, double and two singles, driving in four. Matt Maiers also homered and drove in two runs. The pair hit back-to-back home runs in the Catamounts seven-run sixth inning.

Eddie Dutkewycz and Korey Foltz each added two RBI’s as PSC outhit the Saints 15-8.

Kyler Brown worked the final five innings to pick up the win for the Catamounts. The sophomore struck out three and raised his record to 3-1.

Scott Pierce drove in three runs for Mercyhurst NE with a pair of doubles.

PSC, 10-4 will host the Saints again on Sunday for a 1PM doubleheader.
