Baseball: Catamounts too much for Hornets in sweep at home

Keyser, WV- Potomac State banged out five home runs during their sweep over Shenandoah University Saturday afternoon at Golden Park.

The Catamounts made short work winning 12-1 and 11-0 both in five-inning mercy rule shortened game.

In game one the Catamounts got home runs from Seth Roadcap, Justin Palmer, Korey Foltz and Matt Maiers.

Evan Mitchell picked up the win, improving to 7-1, with 3 1/3 innings in a pitch-count effort.

PSC sent eleven hitters to the plate in an eight-run first inning to set the tone for the day.

In game two Jack Ricker hit a solo shot in the second inning and Daniel Kerwin drove in three runs leading the Catamounts attack.

Dalton Westfall picked up the win with four innings of scoreless baseball.  He improves to 4-1.

Potomac State, now 19-7 returns home on Sunday for a 1PM twin bill with CCBC Catonsville.
