Baseball: Catamounts sweep pair from Shenandoah

Winchester, VA- Potomac State swept a pair of games on a chilly Saturday against Shenandoah University.

In the opener PSC scored four runs in the top of the seventh to break a three-all tie and come away with a 7-3 win. 

Kyler Brown picked up the win with 4 1/3 innings of work.  Drew Hemminger picked up the save working the final 2 2/3 innings.

Andrew Kowalo provided the run support with four runs driven in and three singles and two walks.

Matt Maiers drove in two runs and Korey Foltz another.

In game two Ryan Kelchner worked six strong innings on the mound to secure the 7-2 win.  The freshman struck out three and did not allow an earned run.

Fraser Brown’s two-run double led the Catamount offense, while Jarin Jenkins had three singles.

Potomac State also picked up RBI’s from Foltz, DeJhard Kimbrough, Russell Schwertfeger and Jake Marshall.
