Baseball: Jeffery leads Catamounts to sweep over CCBC Dundalk

Keyser, WV- Matt Jeffery hit two home runs and drove in five runs while Russell Schwertfeger collected seven hits as Potomac State swept a pair of game over CCBC Dundalk Monday afternoon at Golden Park.

In game one Justin Palmer hit a two-run home run to match the two-run shot by Jeffery as the Catamounts won 11-3. 

Colson Kirchner pitched six solid innings, striking out eight to pick up the win.  The freshman right-hander allowed just three hits to raise his record to 3-2.

Jack Ricker and Seth Roadcap each added two hits for PSC, who outhit Dundalk 14-5.

In game two the Catamounts used an eleven run 1st inning to propel them to a 14-10 win.  Jeffery tripled and homered, driving in five runs, while DeJhard Kimbrough added a solo home run.

Marcel Barrett added two hits and an RBI and also worked the final inning, striking out three to pick up the save.

Cameron Fritz picked up the win with four innings of work, striking out four.

The Catamounts, 15-10 will be back in action on Tuesday with a doubleheader with Lakeland Community College starting at 1PM.
