Baseball: Catamounts down Chesapeake 8-4

Wye Mills, MD- Potomac State got quality pitching from starter Colson Kirchner and reliever Connor Christner to down Chesapeake College in a key Region XX game on Friday afternoon.

Christner worked the final 4 2/3 innings of hitless baseball to pick up the win.  The freshman struck out seven of the 16 hitters he faced.

Potomac State picked up RBI’s from five different players.  Seth Roadcap went 2-4 with a double and a single with an RBI.

Russell Schwertfeger hit his third home run of the season in the third inning.

Jarin Jenkins, Joe LaRocca and DeJhard Kimbrough each had two hits for Potomac State who out hit the Skipjacks 12-7.
