Baseball: Potomac State rolls over Allegany

CUMBERLAND, MD — Brandon Gochenour led a well-balanced Potomac State attack as the Catamounts took advantage of 11 hits and six errors by Allegany en route to an 11-3 win over the Trojans on Tuesday afternoon.

Gochenour hit a pair of RBI singles — one in the first inning and one in the fourth. Mitchell Henshaw also hit two singles.

Alex Taylor and Sebastian Williamson continued the multi-hit trend for the Catamounts, as they each had a double and a single.

Potomac State scored in every inning up through the seventh — three in the first, two in the second, one in the third, fourth and fifth and two in the sixth and seventh.

Anthony Zorne had a double and a single and Nick Keaton hit a pair of singles for the five-hit Trojans. Allegany scored runs in the second, third and fifth innings.

Potomac State (23-10) will host Monroe College in a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
