BEL AIR, MD — Brandon Gochenour ripped a home run and drove in another run in the opener, but the opportunistic Harford bats came to life in the second game as Potomac State split a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon.

Luke Johnson brought the Fighting Owls to within one in the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly.

Taylor led off the top half of the seventh with a double before being moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Delawder. Dominic Peroni drove in Taylor on a sacrifice fly before Gochenour made it 5-3 with a solo home run in the next at-bat.

Tre Todd had an RBI groundout and Johnson put the score at its final by drawing a bases-loaded walk in the seventh. Peyton Sorrels and Ronnie Krsolovic both doubled for Harford.

Sorrels, Johnson and Adam Rapp both drove in two runs apiece in the second game, which the Fighting Owls won 7-4.

Sorrels and Rapp doubled and Johnson ripped a two-run single. Harford scored two runs in the first inning, one in the third and four in the fourth.

Brock Bonadio was the only Catamount with multiple hits, as he ripped two singles. Joseph Dodrill smacked an RBI double in the second inning, Gochenour hit an RBI base hit in the fifth and Taylor and Delawder both had RBI singles in the sixth.
