Baseball: Potomac State pounds Hagerstown 11-4

KEYSER, W.Va. — Brock Bonadio had three hits and four of his teammates had two each as Potomac State defeated Hagerstown 11-4 Sunday afternoon at Golden Park.

Bonadio was one of three players with two RBIs as he doubled and had two singles.

Brandon Gochenour had three RBIs including a two-run home run in the sixth inning. He also singled.

Alex Taylor, David Delawder and Joe LaRocca all had two base hits. Taylor scored three times.

Nine Catamounts each pitched an inning and combined to limit Hagerstown to two hits but they also surrendered 11 walks.

Brandon Toloso had both of Hagerstown's hits, all singles.

Potomac State jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning before Hagerstown made it a two-run game with two in the second. It remained 4-2 until the fifth inning when Potomac State took control by scoring three runs in the inning and two each in the sixth and seventh.

The Hawks, who defeated Garrett on Friday 11-4, added a run in the eighth and ninth and finishes the season 35-17-1.

The Catamounts finish 27-14. Their postseason schedule will be announced this week.
