Baseball: Catamounts bang out 21 hits to outslug Sinclair 14-8

Keyser, WV- Brock Bonadio led Potomac State with five hits and Dominic Peroni hit two home runs as the Catamounts hit a season high 21 hits in a 14-8 win over Sinclair Community College Friday afternoon at Golden Park.

Bonadio, hitting in the nine-spot in the order had five singles and drove in two runs. The sophomore scored three runs and had an outfield assist in the seventh inning.

Peroni hit two home runs, his first long balls of the season, and drove in four runs to pace the offensive attack.  His three-run home run in the second inning highlighted a 5-run inning that gave PSC a 6-0 lead.

The Catamounts scored a run in the opening frame on an RBI single from Joe LaRocca.  LaRocca drove in three runs with a single and a double. 

Jeff Wong picked up the win on the mound with four innings of work while striking out four.  The sophomore raised his record to 4-1.

Brandon Gochenour worked two scoreless innings to pick up the save.

PSC added insurance with five runs in the eighth inning highlighted by a triple from Mitchell Henshaw , and singles from Zach Musgrove, David Delawder, Brandon Gochenour and Bonadio.

Potomac State, (9-7) will concluded the three-game series with the Tartan Pride on Saturday with a double header that begins at 11am.
