Potomac State ýs Osburn named 2nd Team All-American

 

Keyser , WV-- Potomac Stateýs sophomore 3rd baseman J.T. Osburn has been named to the 2nd team NJCAA Division 1 All-American baseball team.  The Warrenton, VA native was a key factor in leading Potomac State to back-to-back appearances in the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction , Colorado .

 

Osburn led the Catamounts with a .447 batting average, 55 runs batted in, and ten homeruns.  Osburn finished the season with 55 hits, including 17 doubles and a slugging percentage of .878.

 

Osburn will continue his academic and athletic career next season at Ohio University in Athens , Ohio .

 

Osburn continues a tradition of baseball All-Americans at Potomac State since 2000.  He is the sixth Catamount in six years to be named to the All-American team, joining Jake Ellifritz- 2nd team (2000), Drew Jackson- 3rd team (2002), Morgan Clendenin- 3rd team (2002), Justin Jenkins- 2nd team (2003) and Jeff Miller- 2nd team (2004).
