Stevens joins Baseball staff as Assistant Coach
Brock Stevens, who batted .326 in his time as a Catamount, joins the coaching staff for the 2012 season.
Keyser, WV (9-15-11) – Potomac State College baseball Head Coach Doug Little announced the hiring of Brock Stevens as the new assistant coach of the baseball program Thursday. Stevens will assist Little with all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, practice and game preparation.
“Brock is a guy that played for us, was a great player and wants to get into the coaching profession,” said Little. “We are excited to have him on board and we are confident that he will be a great fit for our program.”
The Indiana, PA. native graduated from Indiana Area High School. He original continued pursuing his academic and athletic endeavors at Cleveland State University, before transferring to Potomac State for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
As a member of the Potomac State baseball program, Stevens started both years at second base where he recorded 89 career hits in 85 career games. He registered a .326 lifetime batting average (89-for-273), tallied 58 RBIs and scored 70 runs. He also tacked on 22 career doubles. He helped PSC to a Region XX Title and an eastern District Runner-up in 2007. For his accomplishments during the 2008 season, he was named as a 2nd team member of the All-Region XX team.
