Catamounts rally for split on Saturday.

Winchester, VA-After dropping game one, Potomac State bounced back for a 15-2 win over Shenandoah University Saturday at a rainy Bridgeforth Field.

Nate Antone drove in five runs on a single and two doubles, and Marquise Jones went 4-4 with two runs driven in and four runs scored to pace the Catamounts.

Cody Ellsworth picked up the win as the sophomore went the distance striking out eight in the six-inning complete game.

In game one Potomac State committed five errors that allowed four unearned runs as the Hornets picked up the 4-2 win.

Austin Art was tabbed with the loss, despite allowing just two hits in five innings of work.

“We just came out flat in that first game,” said Head Coach Doug Little. “You really just can’t explain why we play well one day and not the next. We are the exact definition of a roller coaster.”

The Catamounts schedule has been adjusted for Sunday April, 3. Originally scheduled for a doubleheader today at Garrett College, the two teams will now play a single game instead at Potomac State due to snow in Garrett County, MD.

The game is scheduled for a 2PM start and Brendan Miller will start on the mound for PSC.
