Potomac State Baseball sweeps pair at Cecil

NorthEast, MD- Potomac State banged out 25 hits during their sweep over Cecil College Wednesday afternoon.
Potomac State won the opener 13-7 behind three hits and two runs batted in from Zach Markel and a three run home run by Kyle Mann. Ryan LaRose also delivered a bases loaded clearing double to drive in three runs.
Brendan Miller picked up the win on the mound, giving PSC five innings of work. He did allow a three-run home run from Cecil's Josh Hampton. Joel Butchko added a two run shot later in the game for the Seahawks.
In the nightcap, Jordan Bray pitched a complete five inning two hitter to raise his record to 2-0. The Catamount bats remained hot as they cruised to a 15-1 win.
Joel Rosencrance led the onslaught with three doubles and four runs driven in. Jake Potter and Steve Miele each had two hits and Zach Stolipher drilled his second home run of the season for PSC.
Potomac State evens their record at 7-7 and will host a four game series at Golden Park this weekend with Mercyhurst North East. Doubleheaders are scheduled for 1PM on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
