Potomac State Baseball splits pair with Lakeland

Keyser, WV- After dropping the opening game of Tuesday’s twin bill by a score of 7-3, Potomac State rebounded to take the nightcap by a score of 10-6.

Ryan Conner had three hits and an RBI while Jake Potter and T.J. Weisenburg each had two hits for PSC.

Brendan Miller picked up the win by working the final three innings for the Catamounts.  Miller struck out five to raise his record to 5-2.  He relived Joel Rosencrance, who worked the first four innings, allowed just two runs and struck out six.

In the opener Nick Toth drove in three runs for the Lakers, and Shane Sullivan threw a complete game, allowing just three runs.

Ryan LaRose led PSC with three hits and a run batted in.  Michael Drye took the loss for PSC on the mound, as the freshman allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings pitched.

Potomac State will next be in action for a single game on Thursday against Rappahannock Community College.  Game time is set for 3PM.  This had originally had been scheduled for a doubleheader, but has been changed to a single game.
