Potomac State Baseball rebounds for split with Lackawanna

Keyser, WV- Potomac State and Lackawanna split a pair of one-run games in back-and-forth action Thursday afternoon at Golden Park.

In the opener Lackawanna rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh inning en route to a 6-5 win. Josh Savakinus’ two run triple in the inning was the big hit that lifted the Falcons to the lead.

Alex Levitan led PSC with a single, double and two runs driven in.

Jamie Miller took the loss for Potomac State as he was unable to hold a 5-3 lead heding into the last inning.

In game two Potomac State rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the third and a 6-4 deficit in the fifth to claim a 9-8 win.

Scott Fox led Potomac State with three runs batted in and Levitan drove in two as every Potomac State starter had at least one hit.

Jamison Jones, Elliott McCummings, Fox, Levitan and Mike Eisel each had two hits for Potomac State who banged out fourteen hits in the game.

Mason Fordyce picked up the win for PSC with five innings of work. Eisel worked the final inning to pick up the save.

Potomac State, 29-13 will be back at home on Saturday for a twin bill with Shenandoah and on Sunday for a single game with Hagerstown.
