Potomac State Baseball cruises to sweep over CCAC-South

Keyser, WV- Jamie Miller struck out ten hitters in six innings of work to lead Potomac State to a 10-1 win in the opening game of their sweep over CCAC-South Saturday afternoon at Golden Park.

The freshman allowed just three hits, one walk and one run to raise his record to 3-1.

Charlie Creighton led the Catamounts at the plate with two doubles and four runs batted in.  PSC banged out 14 hits as Jamison Jones, David Kimbrough, Scott Fox and Alex Levitan each had multiple hits.

In game two Brandon Cordell delivered a complete game as Potomac State scored a 12-2 six-inning win.

Cordell, struck out seven, walked two and allowed just two runs, both of which were unearned.  Cordell improves to 3-0 on the season.

Zach Stolipher drove in three runs on a pair of base hits and a ground out.  Frankie Wilson drilled two doubles and a sacrifice fly to drive in two runs. 

Kimbrough continued his torrid pace with two more hits and finished the day 4-7.

Elliott McCummings had a double and a triple and drove in a run.

In all PSC outhit the Tigers 27-8 and scored runs in 9 of 12 innings.

Potomac State, now 17-10 will be back at Golden Park on Sunday for a doubleheader with Westmoreland County Community College that begins at 1:00p.m.
