Potomac State splits DH with Harford; wraps up #1 seed for Region XX

Aberdeen, MD- Freshman Sam Vincenzo delivered a complete game as Potomac State downed Harford Community College 5-2 in the opening game of a doubleheader Friday night at Ripken Stadium.

The win locked up the number one seed for Potomac State in the Region XX Division 1 Baseball Tournament that begins on Friday May 10 at Hagerstown Community College.

Harford won game two 7-4.

Vincenzo struck out just two, but allowed just six hits to raise his record to 6-1.

Jamison Jones went 4-4 with a triple and three singles. Tre Porter and Scott Fox each drove in two runs and Elliott McCummings added another RBI.

Norm Donkin added two hits for HCC.

In game two Harford's Nick Stallings struck out twelve Potomac State hitters as the lefthander improved to 4-3 on the year.

Jamison Jones was 2-4 with a double and a three-run home run to lead the Catamounts.

Norm Donkin was 3-4 with an RBI and picked up the save by retiring the final two hitters of the game.
