Potomac State Baseball wins pair at Pepsi Invitational

Florence, SC- Potomac State evened their record at 3-3 after sweeping a pair of games on Saturday in Florence, SC.

In the opener PSC got a strong start on the mound from Tanner Everton as the Catamounts downed Cecil College by a score of 6-3. Everton struck out six in five innings of work with no walks allowing three unearned runs to pick up the win.

Despite being outhit six to four Potomac State made their hits count as Elliott McCummings drove in two runs with a single and Ron Musto connected for two singles and a run batted in.

Same Vincenzo worked two scoreless innings to secure the win.

In the nightcap Potomac State downed USC-Lancaster by a score of 8-4.

Scott Fox picked up the win with a solid effort both on the mound and at the plate. The sophomore pitched five innings allowed just three hits and struck out six to pick up the win. He also led the Catamounts with two singles, two runs scored and two runs batted in.

Frankie Wilson added two base hits and drove in two runs. Tre Kerns added a double and triple with two runs scored and an RBI.

Mason Fordyce worked two scoreless innings to pick up his first save.
