Catamounts pound out 24 hits in sweep over Shenandoah

Winchester, VA- Potomac State banged out twenty-four hits including a game high seventeen in the second game en route to a doubleheader sweep by scores of 10-5 and 13-5 over Shenandoah University on Saturday.

In game two Scott Fox went 3-4 with a home run, two singles and four runs batted in to lead the Catamount attack. Connar Bastaich, Ron Musto and Jamison Jones each added three hits for PSC.

Fox picked up the win on the mound, raising his record to 3-0. The sophomore struck out five Shenandoah hitters in five innings of work.

In the opening game Frankie Wilson hit his first home run of the season and Potomac State took advantage of six Hornet errors to pick up the win.

Jamie Miller got the win with 5 1/3 innings of work to make his record 2-1 on the year. Miller struck out nine and did not allow a hit through the first four innings of work.

Mason Fordyce pitched the final inning and a third to pick up the save. Fordyce struck out three of the seven hitters he faced.

Marquise Jones, Elliott McCummings and Jamaal Windom added RBI's for the Catamounts.
