Baseball: Potomac State drops pair at Pepsi Classic

Florence, SC- The Potomac State offense once again struggled today mustering only nine hits in two games as the Catamounts dropped a pair of games 10-1 to Florence Darlington Tech and 6-0 to Pitt Community College.

In the opener FDT jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the opening inning and pulled away with multiple runs in the third and fourth innings. 

Sam Vincenzo took the loss for the Catamounts as the sophomore gave up seven runs, (five earned) in three innings of work.

Connar Bastaich had an RBI single for PSC.

In the nightcap, Pitt outhit PSC 10-3 led by Josiel Colon’s single double and triple.  Addison Braswell drove in three runs with three singles.

Matt Maiers, who pitched well, took the loss for PSC, as the freshman allowed two runs in five innings of work. 

Potomac State wraps up the weekend with a single game on Sunday with Cecil College at 10:30 a.m.
