Potomac State Baseball rolls to sweep over Garrett; increases win streak to nine.

McHenry, MD- Potomac State extended their win streak to nine with a doubleheader sweep over Garrett College Friday afternoon. 

In the opener, Matt Maiers pitched a complete-game shutout to lead the Catamounts to a 4-0 win.  The freshman struck out, and scattered nine hits to improve his record to 3-4. 

Connar Bastaich drove in two runs with two hits to pace the Catamounts offense.  Alex Levitan also added two hits for PSC.

In game two Potomac State hit four home runs to cruise to a 12-1 win.

Tre Porter, Eddie Dutkewcyz, Alex Levitan and Andrew Kowalo each homered as PSC outhit the Lakers 11-3.

Kyler Brown, who was making his first start of the season, gave Potomac State another complete game effort.  Brown allowed just one unearned run, struck out six to raise his record 2-0.

Levitan led PSC, with a 3-3 effort and in all he went 5-5 on the day.

Potomac State, now 28-10-1, will continue their work on the road with a doubleheader at Shenandoah University on Saturday.  Then on Monday, the Catamounts travel to Wye Mills, MD for a single game with Chesapeake College at 3:30pm.
