Potomac State Baseball Golden Park
On March 9, 2002 the Potomac State baseball program defeated Cuyhaoga Community College by the score of 14-3 in the first ever contest played at the brand new Golden Park. Golden Park was named in honor of the Golden Family. Gerry and Edna Golden are the proprietors of Womex, INC., an excavation company that donated the time and labor to construct the field. Their donation was equivalent to $250,000 and gave Potomac State Baseball a new home.
