KEYSER, W.V. — Cecil outlasted Potomac State 89-76, in the second half after the teams played to a tie in the first during a win for the Seahawks over the Catamounts Thursday in Keyser.

Khaalis Coppick-Bay scored a team-high 18 points, 13 of them coming in the first 20 minutes, and Don Hill added 14 for the Hawks. Cecil finished with nine total three-points and shot 12-for-16 at the foul line.

Potomac State made 11 three pointers out of a total of 24 field goals, and went 17-for-23 at the line. Micah Parker recorded a game-high 20 points, all in the first half, and Carlton Johnson had 13 points. Carlton Drake and Jaron Farrell both finished with nine.

“Everybody was shooting lights out in the first half,” said PSC head coach Shawn White. “People were making shots from almost anywhere, but it slowed down in the second half. They were able to improve a little more on defense than we did in the second half and, in the end, that made the difference.”

Potomac State (8-5) will host Penn High Community College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
