Men's Basketball: Potomac State glides past Price George's
NORTH EAST, MD — Mike Hatfield nailed a half court shot at the halftime buzzer to give Potomac State a three-point lead and momentum going into the second half and the Catamounts closed the December portion of their schedule with a 76-64 win over Prince George’s at the Cecil Holiday Tournament.
Reggie Baker did the most damage for the Catamounts (5-3) by scoring 22 points, while George Chase did his part by scoring 16. Hatfield, with the help of the three at halftime, finished with 14 points and Peyton Hartman added nine points.
The Owls got 16 points from Nieronn Myles and 15 from Tyler Logan.
Hatfield’s shot at the buzzer gave Potomac State a 38-35 lead at halftime, and the Cats outscored the Owls 38-29 over the final 20 minutes.
The Cats begin winter break and will be off until Jan. 10 when they travel to Baltimore to play Essex.
