Men’s Basketball: Catamounts throttle Butler 113-55
Potomac State hit on all cylinders despite more than a month’s layoff and routed Butler 113-55 in a Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference game.
Coach Justin Anderson’s Catamounts (5-4, 1-0 WPCC) shot 56 percent (45 for 80) from the field in their first game since an 83-80 win at Chesapeake on Dec. 6. They were 34 for 55 (62 percent) on two-point shots and 11 for 25 (44 percent) on three-pointers.
Reggie Baker led five scorers in double figure with 22 points and also had five rebounds. Shelby Jacobs hit four three-point shots and had 20 points, George Obidiegwu had a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, and Derylton Hill and Marcus Banks had 15 points for the Catamounts.
Cody West scored 21 points for Butler (1-11).
Potomac State will play at the Community College of Beaver (Pa.) County, which is No. 9 in the latest NJCAA Division II poll, on Monday at 7 p.m.
