Men’s Basketball: Potomac State falls 101-89

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Embry Williams scored a game-high 40 points to lead CCAC-Allegheny over Potomac State 101-89 on Monday evening.

The Cougars’ DeAundre Epperson added 30.

CCAC-Allegheny held a 15 point halftime advantage but Potomac State, who commited 17 turnovers, made the most of its opportunities by playing hard on each possesions down the stretch — eventually cutting a 20-point deficit to single digits with 1:53 to go by playing with a never give-up attitude.

“I’m proud of my guys, we learned a valuable lesson tonight,” said Potomac State head coach Justin Anderson.

The Catamounts (13-7) were led by Reggie Baker’s 27 points. He also had five rebounds. Marcus Banks and Derylton Hill each contributed 22 points, with Banks totaling four assists and Hill a team-high nine rebounds.

Potomac State will travel to face Westmoreland Community College tonight at 7 p.m.
