Catamounts crush Cecil, 80-65

Potomac State had four players reach double-digit points totals as the Catamounts defeated Cecil, 80-65, on Monday night.

Tyrell Edmiston led the way for the hosts, recording a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

George Chase was the second-leading scorer for the Catamounts, finishing with 17 points on five field goals, two of which came from three-point range, and 5 of 7 shooting from the free-throw line. Chase was one rebound shy of a double-double.

Daylin Davis added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Torrey Mayo went 11-for-14 from the charity stripe, plus a field goal, to finish with 13 points.

Michael Haysbert and Laqwin Stewart each scored 11 points for the visitors.

The Catamounts led 43-40 at halftime.

Potomac State (13-2) will travel to Northern Virginia Community College on Thursday, 7 p.m.
