Men’s Basketball: Potomac State rolls in opener past PG

KEYSER, W.Va. — Tyrell Edmiston poured in 30 points and Potomac State built a huge halftime lead and rolled to a season opening 87-71 victory over Prince George’s Community College in men’s basketball Saturday evening.

Edmiston hit 11 field goals and 8 of 11 free throws to lead all scorers. Travis Brown added 12 points and Daylin Davis and George Chase had 10 for the Catamounts, who had a commanding 45-19 lead at halftime.

Patrick Johnson scored 29 points before fouling out for Prince George’s. Donnell Graham and Jared Warrick had 13.

Potomac State will play at Anne Arundel on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
