Men’s Basketball: Team effort propels Potomac State past Dundalk

Potomac State had six players reach double-figure point totals to help the Catamounts in defeating Dundalk on Wednesday night, 86-67.

Tyrell Edmiston led the way for the Catamounts with a double-double, finishing with 12 rebounds and collecting a team-high 17 points on seven field goals and a 3 of 4 effort from the free-throw line.

Travis Brown was the next-highest scorer for the hosts, finishing with 15 points on six field goals, including two from 3-point range, and one foul shot. Brown also had five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Daylin Davis had 17 points and 10 rebounds.

CJ Franklin, Torrey Mayo and Zackery White each had 10 points.  Franklin added eight boards and Mayo finished with five rebounds.

Anthony Bennett Jr. was the leading scorer for the Lions, recording 16 points on five field goals, including two 3-pointers, and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Miquante Greene added 15 points and Terray Quickley finished with 13 points.

“I thought we came out in the second half with a good defensive intensity, and all-around it was just a good team effort,” said Catamounts coach Justin Anderson.

Potomac State (5-0) will travel to New River Community College on Saturday, 5 p.m.
