Men’s Basketball: Catamounts top century mark in win over Skipjacks
KEYSER, W.Va. — A dozen Catamounts found their way into the scorebook with five reaching double figures as Potomac State punished Chesapeake by more than 50 points Saturday for a final score of 101-58.
Nequan Carrington dropped a game-high 25 points on nine field goals and a 7 for 9 day from the foul line. JR Kerr and Justin Milstead both had 15-point efforts, while BJ Hill scored 13. Kyle Jackson was the fifth Cat in double figures by finishing with 11.
The Catamounts were in command from the opening tip and worked their way to a 50-27 lead by halftime.
The Skipjacks were led by Raymond Williams with 21 points and Renard Lane with 14. Theo Howard added another 12 points.
Now 15-5, Potomac State makes the trip to play at Howard at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
