Men’s Basketball: Potomac State rolls past Howard
COLUMBIA, MD — Potomac State’s Kyle Jackson scored a game-high 25 points as four other Catamounts picked up double-digit point totals en route to a 96-72 win over Howard on Monday evening.
Jackson made nine field goals, including a pair of threes, while shooting 4 for 5 from the charity stripe. He and JR Kerr (14 points) grabbed five rebounds apiece.
Justin Milstead went 12 for 21 from the free-throw line and made four field goals, one of which came from beyond the three-point line, to finish with 21 points.
Nequan Carrington matched Kerr’s effort in the points category with 14, BJ Hill added 12 and Ricardo Etienne picked up nine boards and eight points for the Catamounts, who held a 48-27 lead at halftime.
Connor Jacobs led the Dragons with 19 points and Neftaly Lind added 14.
Potomac State (16-5) will travel to Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, on Monday, 1 p.m., to play No. 7 South Suburban, who resides in South Holland, Illinois.
