Men’s Basketball: Potomac State tops century mark over Penn Highlands

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Nequan Carrington had a double-double and Malcolm Weathers scored a team-high 22 points to lead Potomac State over Penn Highlands 106-79 on Friday evening.

Weathers’ shooting effort came on eight field goals, including five three-pointers, and a 1 of 4 effort from the free-throw line. He also had six rebounds and three blocks. Carrington added 12 points and 12 boards.

Terrell Gross added 15 points on four field goals, one from three-point land, and a 6-for-7 effort from the charity stripe. Justin Milstead put up 10 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

The Catamounts led 54-46 at halftime over the Black Bears, who were led by Cliff Effins’ game-high 24 points.

Potomac State (3-0) will host College of Southern Maryland on Monday, 7 p.m.
