Men’s Basketball: Weathers helps PSC cruise to win

KEYSER, W.Va — Malcolm Weathers scored 24 points and a total of 15 Catamounts scored for Potomac State during a dominating performance over Southern Virgnia’s junior varsity team 112-78 Thursday in Keyser.

Weathers had a team-best four field goals on his path to 24, where he was joined in double figures by Kyle Jackson with 16, Nequan Carrington with 11 and Justin Milstead with 10. Casey Ezla had nine points, while BJ Hill and Dominik King had seven points apiece.

In the first game back from break the Cats showed no signs of rust, running out to a 52-32 lead by halftime and adding 60 more points in the second half.

Southern Virginia was led by Sam Armstrong’s 23 points, while Jake Fisher added 18 and Raheim Page scored 17.

Potomac State (8-2) returns to the court Saturday when it takes on Mercyhurst North East Saturday at 4 p.m.
