Dundalk tops Potomac State

KEYSER, W.Va. - Potomac State had a chance to force overtime with less than a second to play, but made only one of two free throws and fell to 4-5 with a loss to CCBC-Dundalk.

The Catamounts held a 35-31 lead at halftime, and trailed 58-54 with 10 minutes left in the second half. Former two-time Times-News Area Player of the Year Donavin Vinson tied for a game-high 27 points by hitting 13 field goals, including one three-pointer. He also had a team-high eight rebounds. Vance Hosby joined Vinson in double figures with 18 points, and added seven rebounds.

Marcus Quarles got in the mix for PSC with 15 points.

"It's a disappointing loss for us," said Shawn White,
Potomac Stateýs head coach. "We just could not stop a couple of their guys, and it cost us."

The two cases White was referring to were Anthony Baglin and Ricardo Laing. Baglin, a pre-season Division II JUCO All-American, hurt the Catamounts by scoring 20 points. Ricardo Laing matched Vinson with 27 points.

The Catamounts (4-5) will play at
Glenville State Saturday at noon.
