Howard downs Potomac State Men's Soccer 2-0

COLUMBIA  — After a scoreless first half, Howard scored twice in the second and got a shutout from Justin Jones during Potomac State’s 2-0 loss Wednesday in a Region XX match-up in Columbia.

David Neuberth scored 3:32 into the second half with Blaise Sindjui recording the assist.

For Neuberth it was his 32nd goal of the season, making him the leading scorer in NJCAA Division III.

Adam Black scored the second goal, unassisted, 15 minutes later.

Potomac State scored a goal in between the Dragons’ pair, but the score was nullified by a handball call.

Jones had four saves in the shutout, while Catamount goalie Conor Fungaroli had seven.

The loss makes PSC 3-2 against Region XX competition, and will be playing the No. 7 team in Division III Rockville on Sunday, 1 p.m., at Stayman Field.
