Men's Soccer: Casto leads PSC past Allegany 6-1
KEYSER, W. Va. — Jesse Casto scored a pair of second-half goals, while Steven Holtschneider and Juan Flores both scored a goal and assisted another one to lead the Potomac State College men’s soccer team to a 6-1 Region XX victory over Allegany College of Maryland Thursday at Stayman Field.

The Catamounts scored 58 seconds into the match when David Annandale scored unassisted. Holtschneider followed with a goal at 7:33 on an assist from Gudiel Guzman, before Trey Oglivie and Flores concluded the first-half scoring at 34:21 and 36:32 respectively, with Oglivie’s goal assisted by Zach Saylor.
In the second half, Casto scored at 52:28 and 60:31 on assists from Flores and Holtschneider.
Allegany scored at 88:02 on an unassisted goal by Tyler Sechler.
Potomac State outshot Allegany, 21-4, with an 8-0 corner kicks advantage.
Conor Fungaroli, the No. 1-ranked keeper in the country in save/goal ratio, and Brian Pruett both had one save for the Catamounts. Adam Carrier saved 12 for the Trojans.
Potomac State (6-1 overall, 2-0 Region XX) will host Lord Fairfax Saturday at 3 p.m.
