Potomac State Soccer cruises past Patrick Henry

Trey Ogilivie scores twice as PSC wins 8-0.

KEYSER, W.V. — Seven Catamounts scored and four others had assists as Potomac State breezed to an 8-0 win over Patrick Henry (Va.) in college men’s soccer on Wednesday.

Trey Ogilivie had two goals and Gudiel Guzman three assists to lead the way for the Catamounts (2-0), who jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening minutes.

Ogilive scored on an assist from Guzman 4:55 into the match, and Justin Winebrenner made it 2-0 on another assist from Guzman two minutes later.

The only other goal of the first half came from Onofrio Castiglia on a feed from Zach Saylor at the 29:45 mark.

Ogilvie started a five-goal second half by scoring on Guzman’s assist 6:30 into the second half.

Garrett Kiddy and Colin Holowach scored the next two goals, both on assists from Nathan Main, to make it 6-0. Henry Herkes and Nate Wilkes scored the final two goals, with Adam Katz assisting on both.

Potomac State led in shots, 25-7, and corner kicks, 5-1. Conor Fungaroli made six saves in getting the shutout in goal. Andrew Mowrey had 14 saves for Patrick Henry (0-2).

Potomac State hosts Hagerstown Community College today at 3:30.
