Catamounts post another shutout over Lord Fairfax

KEYSER, W.Va. — Brandon Lee scored two goals to lead Potomac State College to a 4-0 shutout over Lord Fairfax Sunday afternoon at Keyser High School’s Tornado Alley.

Lee scored the first two goals giving the Catamounts a 2-0 lead. The first came less than two minutes into the contest on an assist from Chris Ranker. The second was unassisted at 26:26.

Derek Swanson, on an assist from Matt Tice, made it 3-0 at 20:24 of the first half.

Swanson assisted Ranker on the only goal of the second half at 23:59.

The Catamounts (11-0-2 overall, 5-0-1 Region XX) dominated in shots 10-2 and corner kicks, 7-0.

Goalie Connor Eberly made two saves while Lord Fairfax’s Bill Shaffer stopped five.

Potomac State hosts Blue Ridge Community College at Stayman Field on Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m.
