Lee’s two goals leads Potomac State past NOVA
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Brandon Lee, a top-5 goal-scorer in National Junior College Division III, added two goals to his total in a 5-1 win for Potomac State at Northern Virginia Friday.
Potomac State (9-0-2) have outscored their opponents 46-6 this season.
They trailed early, as Tyler Jones scored Northern Virginia’s lone goal 20:00 in.
Michael Blackburn made it a tie game at halftime with an unassisted score.
Chris Ranker scored at :30 into the second half on a pass from Lee to make it 2-1. Mike Santucci extended the lead with an unassisted score. Lee’s two goals came at 32:30 and 14:00, with the latter on a penalty kick.
Connor Eberly stopped four in goal for the Catamounts and Jean Gore saved seven in the loss.
Potomac State plays at Westmoreland County Community College Monday at 2 p.m.
