Potomac State now 10-0-1; downs Westmoreland
YOUNGWOOD, Pa. — Four different players scored for Potomac State as the Catamounts remained undefeated with a 4-1 win against Westmoreland Monday evening in JUCO soccer.
Mike Santucci and David Gogishvili got Potomac State off to a 2-0 lead in the first half. Caleb Goodin assisted on Gogishvili’s goal.
The Wolfpack was able to slice the lead to 2-1 when Luke Douglas scored an unassisted goal, but came right back with a goal four minutes later when Mike Blackburn assisted Theo Richards.
Chris Ranker picked up an insurance goal for PSC with 30:01 remaining off of an assist from Derrick Swanson.
Potomac State outshot the Wolfpack 15-5 and had seven corner kicks to Westmoreland’s five. Connor Eberly made two saves in the win, Keon Rosky saved
16 for Westmoreland.
The Catamounts (10-0-2, 5-0-1 Region XX) will play at 4 p.m. on Friday at Frederick.
