Men’s Soccer: Potomac State boots Allegany

KEYSER, W.V. — Brandon Lee scored three goals and assisted on another and Potomac State College erupted for four goals in a 14-minute span of the second half to defeat Allegany College of Maryland 6-0 in college men’s soccer Friday at Stayman Field.

With the Catamounts leading 2-0, Lee’s first goal came on an assist from Pat Kimble midway through the second half. Almost 10 minutes later, Lee, on an assist by Brett Vanderhout, put PSC ahead 4-0 at 75:12. Three minutes later Lee scored on a penalty kick.

The Catamounts (3-0, 1-0 Region XX) took a 1-0 halftime lead on Ryan Mowery’s unassisted goal.

Potomac State’s second goal — and the one that began the scoring surge — came at 64:30 on Vanderhout’s goal assisted by Lee.

Austin Campbell closed out the scoring on an unassisted goal at 80.09. The Catamounts led in shots 16-5 and corner kicks 5-3.

Allegany goalie William Teye made 10 saves while Alec Sproule had three for PSC.

Potomac State visits Westmoreland County Community College on Wednesday at 5 p.m
