PSC tops century mark in win over ACM
KEYSER, W.V. — Jenna McAtee scored a team high 20 points, had four of Potomac State’s 12 three-point goals and led four scorers in double figures as the Catamounts thumped Allegany College, 100-83, in junior college women’s basketball Tuesday night.
Chelsea Keyser added 17 points, Kirsten Rayner had 14 points and seven rebounds and Leah Hershberger 11 points and five assists for Potomac State, which extended its winning streak to six games and improved to 7-1. Heather Lesniowski and Antwanye Parks added nine points and Lindsie Linaburg grabbed nine rebounds.
Gina Rievel had a game high 27 points and Kierra Williams and Courtney Landis had 18 points for Allegany, which closed the first half on an 11-1 run, trailed 50-49 at halftime and led briefly after the break before the Catamounts regained the lead for good.
“We weren’t happy with our defense. We kept letting them get back in the game,” Potomac State coach Jim Walton said. The 100 points were a season high for his team.
Potomac State plays again Friday at Chesapeake then returns home on Monday for a 7PM matchup with Hagerstown Community College.
