Women’s Basketball: Potomac State rolls over Butler

KEYSER, W.V. — Seven Catamounts scored in double figures and 11 players scored in all as Potomac State stayed hot with a runaway win over Butler on Wednesday.

Elizabeth Mills, Antwanye Parks and Kirsten Rayner all had double-doubles while Alexis Carr and Chelsea Keyser scored a game-high 17 points. Mills wound up with 13 rebounds and 12 points and Parks had 11 points with 10 rebounds. Rayner put her 10 points together with 13 boards.

Carr had seven assists and five steals to go with her 17 points, and Leah Hershberger added six assists to nine points. Kelsey Marrone gave the Cats 12 points and Kaylee Whetzel had 10.

The win is the seventh in a row for Potomac State, winning by an average score of 90-41 over the streak, and improves the team to 12-2.

Ashley Drehn scored a game-high 27 points for Butler.

The Catamounts will play Saturday at noon at Westmoreland County Community
